The fitting process includes a detailed discussion with the rider to understand where they are in their development as a cyclist and where they hope to be. The pre fit assessment considers the injury history of the rider and a physical assessment to understand the rider's physical structure, range of motion, and any asymmetries that may cause injury or misalignment. The bike fitting considers the pedal position at extension, saddle position, handlebar position and rotation. With the knowledge garnered from the evaluation the technician can suggest adjustments in the equipment to achieve the best fit possible and the optimal riding experience.
